The study explores the intricacies of Lesson Plans (RPP), comprehensive guides crafted from syllabuses to steer students' learning endeavors toward Basic Competence (KD). Rooted in the 2013 curriculum, this educational paradigm shift fosters an enriched classroom atmosphere, urging students to embrace creativity, innovation, productivity, and emotional engagement while confronting challenges.
Consequently, educators face the task of infusing character education into their lessons and leveraging modern media for teaching and assessment purposes. The research endeavors to dissect the constituents commonly found in Lesson Plans (RPP) devised by ten pre-service English teachers imparting high school education under the 2013 Curriculum.
This examination adheres to the Ministry of Education and Culture Regulation (Permendikbud) Number 22 of 2016, aiming to gauge the alignment between English teachers' Lesson Plans (RPPs) and the stipulated guidelines. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach and a content analysis checklist, the study meticulously examines these Lesson Plans through documentation and interviews.
Findings revealed that while most aspects of the Lesson Plans conform to the requisites outlined in Permendikbud number 22 of 2016, minor inadequacies were observed in primary materials and learning resources. Nonetheless, the pre-service English teachers' Lesson Plans predominantly mirrored the guidelines prescribed in Permendikbud number 22 of 2016. Moreover, the implementation of these plans by the pre-service educators exhibited a reasonable level of compatibility with their intended use in the classroom.
