Textbooks are the basis of learning in the classroom. The materials of the textbook must meet the standard competence of the curriculum so that the result fits with the Merdeka Curriculum. This research analyzes and determines the suitability of the English textbook "Breakthrough Plus 4 Students Book" for tenth graders with the Merdeka curriculum. This research aims to analyze and determine the suitability of the content of the material in the English textbook entitled "Breakthrough Plus 4 Students Book" for tenth graders with the learning targets in the Merdeka curriculum. The research design is qualitative descriptive one and the type of it is content analysis. Documentation served the data in this study. The checklist table of learning targets in Merdeka Curriculum is an instrument that is used to analyze the data regarding the suitability of the contents of English textbooks to Merdeka curriculum. From 12 units of English textbooks entitled Breakthrough Plus 4 Student Book, a total score of 113 was obtained which is in accordance with the learning targets in the Merdeka Curriculum with a maximum score limit of 180. The results obtained for the suitability of English textbooks to learning targets in the Merdeka Curriculum is relatively low qualification score because the material units in the textbook only met 63% of the BSNP criteria for a good textbook. There is a significant lack of conformity between the content of English textbooks and with learning targets in the Merdeka Curriculum.
