SKRIPSI DEVELOPING LEARNING INSTRUCTION DESIGN USING GATHER.TOWN WEB FOR PROJECT- BASED LEARNING IN CREATIVE WRITING: DRAMA AND THEATER COURSE

Digitalization in the education field has a significant impact on students' learning. That is why developing learning instructions that fit with current education is essential. The development of learning instruction with digital media would help students adapt to learning. Digital media will help students to get involved in interactive learning. Based on the above situation, this study fulfils three objectives. They are (1) to know the course needed for Creative Writing: Drama and Theater learning instruction, (2) to design Creative Writing: Drama and Theater learning instruction, (3) to do a design validation test for Creative Writing: Drama and Theater learning instruction. The learning instruction used Gather.town as a learning media to make students finish the project and understand the material. The project can positively impact English education students in creative writing, drama, and theatre courses. The instructional design was developed with ADDIE model by Branch (2010) and used the analysis, design, and developing step with the product validation and product revision. The writer did need analysis for lecturers and students of the Creative writing: drama and theater course and semester learning plan analysis to design the blueprint and learning instruction product. The product was validated and revised based on validator’s suggestion in the development process. The analysis result showed that several activities should be added to the learning plan and several changes made because of the different learning environments. Gather.town was added as a new learning media to fit with the need analysis result. The learning instruction was designed as dictate for the course and used for learning activity guidance. The product was validated by one expert to measure the feasibility. The validation results showed that the dictate of Creative writing: drama and theater course instructional design had 95% grade or very worthy criteria. The writer’s hope this study can be continued into implementation and evaluation steps to find out the implementation of the learning instruction in the course.
