Keywords: Effectiveness, Reading Comprehension, Two Stay Two Stray Strategy. Reading is the process of understanding and interpreting writing to obtain the information conveyed by the author. Therefore, appropriate learning strategies are essential to achieve reading goals. Teachers can facilitate learning and teaching by implementing the Two Stay Two Stray Strategy. This strategy emphasizes learning in groups to exchange ideas in active learning discussions. The objective of this research is to determine whether there is a significant difference in the reading comprehension of the eighth-grade students who were taught by using the Two Stay Two Stray Strategy and those who were not taught by using this strategy in SMP N 4 Magelang for the 2023/2024 academic year. This study employed a quantitative research method and utilized a quasiexperimental design to verify the validity of the findings. It was conducted in two classes: the experimental class was taught by using the Two Stay Two Stray Strategy and the control class was taught by using the Students TeamAchievement Divisions Strategy. The population consisted of 182 eighth-grade students from SMP N 4 Magelang. The purposive sampling technique was used to select 32 students for the experimental class and 32 students for the control class. The data was collected through tests and was analyzed using the SPSS program. The Mann-Whitney test showed that the significance value in this study was 0,00
