Keywords: Writing, Writing Skills, TPSS, Advertisement Text.Writing served as a form of communication intended to convey feelings through written expression. The writing process was crucial in teaching writing in the English language. Think-Pair-Square-Share (TPSS) strategy encouraged interaction and teamwork among students. In writing, various kinds of texts are studied at the junior high school level. One of the texts that students must master is advertisement text.This study aims to determine whether the Think-Pair-Square-Share (TPSS) Strategy can enhance students’ advertisement Text writing skills in the eighth graders of SMP N 7 Magelang. This research applied quantitative methods through Experimental Design. The sample used in this study is 60 students of class VIII taken from 2 different classes. The instruments used in this study are pre-tests and post-tests to obtain the data. The study results can be seen from the Pre-Test and Post-Test scores in the experimental and control classes.Based on the research result and discussion, there was an increase in learning outcomes in English writing skills using the team Think-Pair-Square-Share (TPSS) Strategy. The increase in the average experimental group (19.43) > an increase in the average value of the control group (13.93). The average N-Gain value obtained by the experimental group is included in the moderate category (0.30 ≤ g < 0.70). The Mann-Whitney test shows the significance (2-tailed) results in the experimental group (0.008) < the significant level (α) = 0.05. The test results indicate that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, or it can be interpreted that there was a significant difference between the average value before treatment (pre-test) and the average value after treatment (post-test).The study's findings revealed that the Think-Pair-Square-Share (TPSS) Strategy is considered effective in enhancing students' learning outcomes of advertisement text writing skills in the eighth graders of SMP N 7 Magelang. Therefore, it is suggested that English teachers apply the Think-Pair-Square-Share (TPSS) strategy in teaching writing since the teachers are beneficial for improving students' reading skills.
