Since the 2021/2022 school year, the Minister of Education has announced a new policy for implementing the Merdeka curriculum, which replaces and enhances the previous curriculum. One of the learning aims of the Merdeka curriculum for English courses, especially for 4th-grade students, is to be able to converse in social situations with basic vocabulary. A case has been found in an elementary school that lacks vocabulary, this can be seen because the author has conducted an interview with the teachers.In education, especially for elementary school, an appropriate learning media is needed to optimize the learning process. Many learning media that can be applied, one of which is through educational board games. Currently, Game-Based Learning refers to the use of games and elements related to game reality, content, subject, and graphics in the educational process. Therefore, the use of the Four-D model by Thiagarajan can be an appropriate method for developing the product. The main objective of this educational board game development is to create an exciting learning media for teaching vocabulary to elementary school students.
