Keywords: language features, procedure text Most students in junior high school still have difficulties in writing, especially in writing procedure texts. In addition, students of grade IX SMP N 3 Suoharjo have difficulty in creating procedure texts in accordance with language features. This problem arises because of so many factors, difficulties in understanding grammar and also because students are still confused in the use of appropriate language features. In this study, the writer focused analyzing the language features of procedure text. The objectives of the study are : 1. To describe the language feature in procedure text realized by the ninth graders of SMPN 3 Sukoharjo. 2. To find the most dominant language features of procedure texts realized by the ninth graders of SMPN 3 Sukoharjo This research is descriptive qualitative; this research allows the writer to analyze the data found in the students' procedure texts. The subjects of this study were procedure texts written by ninth grade students of SMPN 3 Sukoharjo in the 2023/2024 academic year. The writer took 20 procedure texts, which were analyzed and collected using documentary techniques. This research focuses on examining the types of linguistic features of procedure texts written by ninth grade students at SMPN 3 Sukoharjo in the 2023/2024 academic year. Not all students use all five linguistic features in their procedure texts. This can be seen from the data on language features used by students which shows that some students do not use conjunctions and adverbs. Action verbs with a total of 126 out of 433 language features, with a percentage of 29.09% are the most common language features used by students. The second is imperative sentence with 124, the third is simple present tense which appears 103 times, the fourth is connectives which are used 53 times, and the last is adverbials where adverbs of time appear twice and adverbs of manner 25 times.
