Keywords: Content Analysis, Character Education Value, P5, Work in Progress, techniques of integrating characters The Indonesian government has embedded Character Educational Values in the Merdeka Curriculum through the Pancasila Students Profile (P5), which includes six core elements: have Faith, Fear of God Almighty, Have Noble Character, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, critical reasoning, and creativity. In Phase E of the Merdeka Curriculum, these values must be implemented not only in teaching and learning but also in the educational media used. However, not all textbooks are suitable for this purpose due to inappropriate content. Therefore, continuous analysis of textbook content, especially regarding character education values is essential as part of the Merdeka Curriculum. This study focuses on analyzing character education values based on the P5 in the 'Work in Progress' textbook, published by Kemendikbud in the 2022 edition. The objectives are to identify the types of the character education presented in the book, determine the most frequently appearing value, and explore how these values are integrated into the textbook. The study employs content analysis to examine the types and frequency of character education values, as well as the techniques used to integrate these values into the 'Work in Progress' textbook. The data was collected from reading texts within the textbook, classified by character education value type and integration technique. The analysis found 51 instances of character education values, with Have Faith, Fear of God Almighty, Have Noble Character and Mutual Cooperation being the most common, each representing 25.50% of the total. Global Diversity, Critical Reasoning, and Creativity each accounted for 13.72%, while Independence was the least common at 7.84%. The study also revealed that 68.63% of these values were integrated explicitly, while 31.37% were integrated implicitly. In conclusion, the 'Work in Progress' textbook is well-suited for tenth-grade students, as it effectively incorporates the six types of character educational values and aligns with Phase E of the Merdeka Curriculum.
