SKRIPSI THE INFLUENCE OF VOCABULARY ENRICHMENT ON THE WRITING SKILL OF THE FIRST YEAR STUDENTS OF SLTP 1 PARAKAN IN THE SCHOOL YEAR 2000 - 2001
This research report is aimed to prove whether vocabulary enrichment program influences students' writing skill or not. Nowadays, in the teaching of English in Indonesia, teachers usually implement the communicative approach. The teaching activity is aimed to use the language as a meant of communication. The four-language skills must be taught in integral ways with the language elements and language components. Language components and language elements are taught to support themastery of the four-macro language skills. The researcher thinks that the students finda lot of difficulties in learning writing, The difficulties should be encountered because the students generally get stuck to express their ideas, thoughts, moods, feelings and interest. The reason is that the English words have different sounds, and spelling from their mother tongue. English hasdifferent systems from that of their mother tongue. The students fice difficulties to express their ideas, thoughts, moods, feelings and interest because they usually find a number of difficulties in meorizing the meaning of English words, so the researcher will try to carry out the vocabulary enricment as one of the strategies to
