This research is conducted to prove that the mastery of English conjunctions has an influence on reading ability. We realize that SLTP students' ability to read English is of low quality. In fact, the better students read, the better result they will get. By reading a lot a reader will get a lot of information and ideas.To achieve a good result of reading English, a teacher has to control the students' structure mastery. Because without good mastery of structure, it will be impossible for students to achieve a good result in reading English. The better structure mastery students have, the better result they achieve in reading English.
Based on the statements above, the researcher put forward two hypotheses as follows:
1. There is a positive correlation between English conjunctions mastery with reading ability.
2. There is a significant contribution of English conjunctions mastery on reading ability.
The researcher took 30 students of SLTP Negeri 1 Kaliangkrik Magelang Regency as samples by using random sampling technique. She analyzed the data by using the product moment formula to know the correlation between the mastery of English conjunctions mastery with the reading ability and the contribution of it on the students achievement by using F test.
