SKRIPSI SISTEM AKUISISI DATA SUHU DAN KELEMBAPAN BERBASIS PROTOKOL MODBUS PADA AUTOMASI PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROL (PLC)
The brooding phase, which starts from one-day-old chicks (DOC) until 14 days of age or until the chickens can be transferred from the artificial incubator or heater, is a critical stage in the poultry industry, particularly for chickens. To ensure optimal environmental conditions during this phase, a reliable and continuous monitoring and data acquisition system is required. This study develops a data
acquisition system to monitor, control, and record temperature and humidity in the brooding pen. The Modbus TCP-based system using a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) successfully processes emperature data with a measurement error of 1.2% and accuracy of 98.8%. Meanwhile, the average error in humidity measurement was 1.64% with an accuracy of 98.3%. Gage R&R analysis shows variability in temperature measurement of 15.56% and humidity of 24.39%, which are within acceptable limits. The control system successfully stabilizes temperature (31-32°C) and humidity (60% RH) within 2 minutes and 1 second. Despite factors such as unforeseen fluctuations in environmental temperature affecting the measurements, the error levels remain within the acceptable tolerance limits.
