SKRIPSI THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING SPEECHACE FOR ENHANCING STUDENTS’ PRONUNCIATION ABILITY AT MTs TARBIYATUL ISLAMIYAH
In English language learning, pronunciation is an important aspect that directly affects students' speaking ability. However, in practice, many students have difficulty in pronouncing words correctly due to limited practice time, lack of individualized feedback, and passive learning methods. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the SpeechAce application, a web-based speech recognition technology, in enhancing the pronunciation skills of grade VIII students at MTs Tarbiyatul Islamiyah. This study used aquasi-experimental design with two groups, the experimental group taught using the SpeechAce application and the control group taught using videos from YouTube. The results showed that there was an increase in the average score in the
experimental group from 3.69 to 6.17, while the control group only increased from 4.51 to 4.74. The t-test results show a significance value of 0.000 (
