SKRIPSI THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING STORYBOARD IN PADLET ON PROCEDURE TEXT WRITING SKILLS OF THE ELEVENTH GRADERS OF SMA NEGERI 2 GRABAG
Procedure texts are a form of productive activity in English language learning, particularly writing, and they involve complex cognitive processes, which makes them more challenging to master. Students have problems generating ideas and developing writing into coherent paragraphs. Therefore, it is essential for teachers to apply suitable learning media, such as Storyboard in Padlet, to support students’ writing development. The objectives of this study are to compare the significant differences between the Procedure Text Writing Skills of students taught using the Storyboard in Padlet and students taught using Collaborative PowerPoint and to find out the effectiveness of Storyboard in Padlet toward Procedure Text Writing Skills of the Eleventh Graders of SMA Negeri 2 Grabag in the School Year 2024/2025. This study applied a quantitative research design with quasi-experimental design through pre-test and post-test. The participants of this study were 61 of the eleventh graders at SMA Negeri 2 Grabag who were divided into two groups, namely the experimental and the control groups. Based on the analyzed data, the sig. (2-tailed) in hypothesis testing using Independent Sample T-test was 0.003, which was lower than the level of significance determined, 0.05. It meant that the alternative hypothesis was accepted, or the learning media implemented significantly differed between the two groups with different treatments.
