SKRIPSI PERBANDINGAN HASIL PENGAJARAN PAST-TENSE SECARA DEDUKTIF DAN INDUKTIF BAGI SISWA KELAS II SLTP MA'ARIF BANDONGAN KABUPATEN MAGELANG TAHUN PELAJARAN 2000/2001
              There are many components to teach in teaching English subject. One of them is structure. As far as we know there is a number of teaching processes and among them are the deductive and inductive processes.
This paper deals with the teaching of past-tense, one of the structure materials of the second year of SLTP Ma'arif Bandongan throunght the two different processes above. 
According to the writer of this paper, the result of teaching Part-tense using the two processes are      . Based on the statement, the researcher has put two hypotheses as follows:
1. There is a different result between the teaching of past-tense by using the deductive and inductive processes.
2. The deductive processes is better then the inductive process.
In order to find out wheather those hypotheses can be accepted or not the researcher carried out and experimental research by taking 40 sampels of the second year of SLTP Ma'arif Bandongan. The researcher used the random sampling technique to take those sampels. They were divided into two groups.  The first group was taught through the deductive process and was labelled as group A. The second was taught through the inductive process and was labelled group B. To know whether the difference of mean of the two was significant or not, the writer used to t-test.
The result of the analysing using t-test 2,35. Then it is consulted to t-table on the level significance 5% (2,025) The mean of the deductive process is 6,4. and the mean of inductive process is 5,55. The mean of the deductive process is bigger than that the inductive process.
Based on the station calculation, the result of the teaching process of past tense by using the deductive and inductive processes are different. The deductive teaching process is better the the inductive teaching process.
