SKRIPSI PERBANDINGAN ANTARA PENDEKATAN NATURAL DAN NON-NATURAL DALAM PENGAJARAN BAHASA INGGRIS BAGI SISWA SD CACABAN 3 KOTAMADIA MAGELANG

English is widely used in politics trade, and diplomatic activities. It also has an important role in the development of science and technology. That is why in Indonesia as the first foreign language which is taught from the first year of junior high school to academy or university level.

There are very methods used in classroom in order to develop good results of English mastery. They are based on some approaches. Two approaches under camparison of this research are the natural and non-natural approaches. The former is almost found in every part of this country. One of the methods based on that approach is the Grammar Translation Method.

The goal of foreign language is study according to that method is to read its literature. Grammar translation is a way of studying a second or foreign language by learning the language through detailed analysis of its grammar rules. Students are asked to applicate their knowledge of grammar to the task of translating sentences into and out of the target language. The students native language is the medium of instruction.
