SKRIPSI USING DORATOON ANIMATION VIDEO TO INCREASE THE NARRATIVE TEXT WRITING SKILL OF THE TENTH GRADERS OF SMK NEGERI 2 MAGELANG
Writing is one of the important skills that should be taught in senior high
school and allows students to express their thoughts clearly, organize ideas
logically, and convey information effectively. However, the tenth graders of still
find difficulties in learning writing especially in narrative text and the students’
have a low motivation in writing. The result of the writing test is under the
standard minimum of mastery learning grade that is 80. From several factors
influencing that condition the bigges tproblem is to generate the ideas. To
overcome that problem, the writer conducted a research by applying Doratoon
Animation Video.
There are two main objectives of this research, the first is to know
whether the use of Doratoon Animation Video can increase learning motivation
of writing narrative text. The second is to know the improvement of student’s
narrative text writing skill who are taught by using Doratoon Animation Video.
The subject of this research is the tenth graders of SMK Negeri 2
Magelang class X MPLB 1 that consists of 35 students. The writer conducted a
classroom action research. It is divided into Pre-Cycle, Cycle I, Cycle II. To
collect the data, the writer used test and non-test, they are observation,
questionnaire, and documentation. To analyze the data, the writer used Data
Condensation, Data Display and Conclusing Drawing and Verification.
