Students often face difficulties in generating ideas, retaining vocabulary, and developing coherent narrative structures such as orientation, complication, and resolution. Therefore, teachers need to apply suitable learning techniques, such as the Guided Repetition Technique (GRT), to support students' writing development. The objectives of this study are to compare the significant differences between the Narrative Text Writing Skills of students taught using the Guided Repetition Technique and students taught using the Spaced Repetition Technique (SRT), and to find out the effectiveness of the Guided Repetition Technique in Improving Narrative Text Writing Skills of the eighth graders of SMP Negeri 1 Secang in the school year 2023/2024. This study applied a quantitative research design with a quasi-experimental design through pre-test and post-test. The participants of this study were 63 eighth graders at SMP Negeri 1 Secang, divided into two groups: the experimental group (32 students using GRT with flashcards) and the control group (31 students using SRT with Kahoot). Based on the analyzed data, the sig. (2-tailed) in hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample T-test was 0.039, which was lower than the level of significance determined, 0.05. It meant that the alternative hypothesis was accepted, or the learning techniques implemented significantly differed between the two groups with different treatments. Moreover, the N-gain test was used to determine the effectiveness of the learning technique implemented. Based on the average, the score obtained in the experimental group was 56.48%, which belongs to the effective enough category, while the control group gained 37.78%, which belongs to the ineffective category. In conclusion, the implementation of the Guided Repetition Technique on students' ability to write narrative texts is effective enough to be applied for the eighth graders of SMP Negeri 1 Secang
