SKRIPSI STUDI KEPADATAN TANAH UNTUK TANAH LEMPUNG BERPASIR
ABSTRACT
Compaction utilized specific power and with the best water content would produced the maximum density. The best water content was the amount of water contained in the soil, if the soil was compacted it could produced the maximum density. (Bambang Surendro, 2015). The fast and uncomplicated implementation of soil compaction was affected by the size of the compaction energy provided. To obtain a high density soil layer, compaction testing is required for a mixture of clay and sand soil.
The research of obtained data were included water content, soil density and then analyzed descriptively and analytically. The relationship between influential variables was made of dimensionless numbers based on the analytical principle of dimensions while still referring to theoretical forms of relationships. The relationship between dimensionless variables wass made in the form of a graph of the relationship between the water content (w) and the density (yk). In this study the variables used as determinants were independent variables and dependent variables.
The results showed that the ratio of the percentage of clay sand soil affected the value of soil density and soil water content. The more percentage of sand, so the higher the relationship between soil density and water content. The maximum density (yk) produced on the mixed soil is approximated by a ratio of 70 percent: 30 percent (sand: clay). To calculate the density of the soil based on the comparison could used the equation of the approach as follows
