SKRIPSI PENGARUH PASIR KALIWIRO DAN ABU BATU SEBAGAI (FILLER) PADA LAPIS KERAS HOT MIX" TERHADAP NILAI MARSHALL

This research was focused on the use of kaliwiro sand in Wonosobo as therefined aggregrate. Aggregrate set on 90-95% of the mix ratio, as the support for hot mix layer on the load of traffic effect and distributed on the underneath layer. Therefore, the aggregrate should firm and fulfill the technical qualification (match on The Dirjen Bina Marga). The mixture especially for combination of concrete asphalt.
The Method used was the experimental method by performing the observation in Balai Pengujian Ilmu Konstruksi (BPIK) srondol, Semarang. The material for producing and research material was gained from Progo River for aggregrate and also sand of kaliwiro, Wonosobo. The concrete asphalt mixture was containing of variety asphalt. The characteristic of concrete asphalt was evaluated using parameters Marshall Test, the result was compared by Bina Marga qualification (laston) No.13/PT/B/1983. The conceptual frame work of this research consists of the background of the study, the statement of the problem, the limitation of the study, the objective of the study, the research methodology, research finding and conclusions.
The result produced are, SE (Sand Equivalen) value of kaliwiro sand 82,78%, bigger than the minimum qualification (50%), VITM value 3,3% fulfill the qualified standard (3-5%), VFWA value 78% fulfill the qualification and has value (75-82%), stability value920 kg, this value was bigger than the required value that has 750 kg, Flow 2,9 mm, fulfill the qualification between (2-4mm), so on the asphalt degree was 5,6% was gained QM value (Marshall Quotient) -3,17 kg/mm.
The hight stability value and the raw aggregrate solidity and the good gradation of sand grain would also give good support for hot mix structure technically, the refined aggregrate of kaliwiro sand met the qualification for used in road way construction.
