SKRIPSI PENGARUH NAUNGAN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN STEK VARITAS MURBEI (Morus spp.)

ABSTRACT
An experiment of the effect of kind of varieties and shading on mulberry (Morus sp.) growth had been done since June 10" until August 24", 2006 in Sendang Mulyo Village, Tembalang District, Semarang City. The altitude is 120 meters ; latosol soil and pH 6,8.
The method of experiment is factorial (3x4x2) with randomized completely block design and three replications. The first factor is kind of varieties: M. cathayana, M. multicaulis and M. alba. The second factor is shading: 0, 25, 50 and 75%. The third factor is block: little and big seed.
The analysis result shows that M. cathayana variety gave highest shoot, greatest number of leaves, heaviest dry weight of straw, greatest number of roots, heaviest fresh weight and dry weight of root, while M. multicaulis variety shows the longest root. The using of shading 25% shows the highest shoot, greatest number of shoots, widest diameter of shoot, greatest number of leaves, heaviest weight of fresh and dry straw, greatest number of roots, heaviest weight of fresh and dry root.
There are interactions in the increasing of shading used at difference varieties that M. cathayana and M. multicaulis variety are sensitive on shading, compare to M. alba.
