SKRIPSI PENGARUH MACAM MEDIA DAN VARIETAS TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT TEMBAKAU (Nicotiana tabacum, L.)

ABSTRACT
The experiment is to study the effect of medium and varieties of tobacco seed bed (Nicotiana tabacum, L). The experiment was begun on 20th November until 10th February 2002 in Kebonlegi Village, Kaliangkrik District, Magelang Regency, Central Java Province. The altitude is 720 meters.
The experiment is factorial (3 x 3) in randomized completely design. It consists of three replications. The first factor is latosol soil + sand compost of cows, latosol soil sand compost of chicken, latosol soil sand compost of goats. The second factor is Kemloko, Gober and Gowel varieties.
The results of the experiment appear the Gober varietys has the highest result on number of leaves, length of roots, fresh weight and dry weight of seedling. The medium appear that the compost of chicken and cows have common result on the height of seedling while compost of chicken has the highest result on number of leaves, length of roots, weight of fresh and dry seedling. The combination of Gober variety and latosol + sand compost of chicken give the highest result on the dry weight of seedling.
