The Yogyakarta Provincial Fisheries Service identified Sedeng coast as one of the most suitable site for a future development of fisheries port. It is located with regard to the potency of marine fish resource, supporting facilities. The natural constraint heavy swell from Indonesian Ocean. Therefore the port has to be protected by break water, which is a very high cost structure. A

The design of the port is based on the number and size of ships to be accommodated and the site physical conditions such as bathymetry map, tide, waves approaching the coast from various direction, and movement of sand along the coast. The tide ranges from 1,2 m to the maximum of about 2,15 m; and the deep water design wave height is 2,8 m with a period of 10 seconds. The study consist of the design of the fishing port including the size and shape of wharves, harbor basin, tuming basin, waterway, and break water.

The Sadeing port is used waterway by constructing along jetty (breakwater) is about 100 m long, consist of rubbie mound protected by concrete blocks weighing approximately 0,655 tons each. The harbor tum basin or harbor maneuver basin area is 3187,5 m² and harbor wait basin area is 1700 m² which will provide adequate space for turning and maneuvering of ships up to 30 GT. The depth of water way and basin are 3 m below low water level.
