SKRIPSI PENGARUH MACAM DAN KOMPOSISI MEDIA PADA PERTUMBUHAN BIBIT JATI (Tectona grandis)

ABSTRACT
A research entitled The Effect of Kind and Composi- tion of Media on Growing of Teak seedling (Tectona gran- dis) had been done on 5 May to 26 July 2003 in Wringin Putih village, Borobudur sub district, Magelang district with altitude of 420 m.
The method of this research is factorial (3 x 3) ex- periment with completely randomized design consists of three replications. First factor is kind of media cow manure, bokashi shikantan and Super Compost. Second fac- tor is composition of media 3:4, 3:1 and 3:14. The ob- served parameters are height of seedling, number of lea- ves, fresh weight of seedling, dry weight of seedling, length of roots and number of roots.
The combination of soil bokashi shikantan fertili- zer with composition 3:4 showes the highest result on the height of seedling. But, the highest result on the fresh weight of seedling and dry weight of seedling was showed on soil bokashi shikantan fertilizer treatment with 3:1½ composition. If this result was compared with length of roots, the combination of soil bokashi shikantan fertilizer with 3:14 composition showes higher propor- tion, because it had length of roots that longer than the combination of soil bokashi Shikantan fertilizer with 3: composition.
