SKRIPSI MITIGASI HARMONIK AKIBAT PEMASANGAN KAPASITOR DAN PERBAIKAN FAKTOR DAYA PADA RUMAH TINGGAL DI KAWASAN INDUSTRI
The non-linear electrical load generally uses electronic power components which, in its process, function as the switch and causes non-sinusoidal wave distortion. In order to muffle the incident of harmonics, a filter is used so that the Total Harmonics Distortion (THD) of current and waves do not exceed the IEEE 519-2014 standard. The filter, designed in this research, was the passive filter with second order damped type. The measuring instrument of Power Quality Analyzer was used to know the harmonies content caused by the non linear load. This research was carried out at 220 volt houses with an installed power capacity of 450 VA, 900 VA, and 1300 VA in residential houses where electricity networks became one with distribution networks with industries and different transformers. Filter design is modeled and simulated fing Power Simulation software (PSIM). Through simulation can be known THDi before and after using the filter, then it will be compared to the IEEE 519-2014 standard. The power factor can be increased from 0.815 to 0.999 lagging. From the results of the calculation, the percentage of harmonic defect (THD) percentage before the filter is installed 33,95887% and after the filter is installed 15,35576%.
