Listening is an essential skill of the four language skills which is vital to be mastered by students. It is a tool to grasp the information from native speakers or from what they try to listen to. In fact, at SMP Pantekosta Magelang, have a problem with listening ability such motivation,and monotone strategies that teacher used in the class and bored studentsred. To overcome this problem, the writer carried out research on the students’ listening skills by using Engish Song at Spotify media, which encourages students’ interest in learning and improves their listening ability.
The methodology of this research was Classroom Action Research. The subject of this research was students in the ninth grade of SMP Pantekosta Magelang in the school year 2022/2023. The total number of students was 28 students which consist of 15 males and 13 females. The writer used tests and non-tests to collect data. The test is about listening tests while the non-test is observation, questionnaire, and documentation.
The finding of this study showed that based on questionnaire and observation, the use of the Spotity media to enhance listening skills increases the students` scores. The result of the research showed in Pre-cycle is 69%, Cycle I is 74%, and Cycle II is 77%. It means using Spotify media enhance students’ listening skill and increase their motivation in English Learning Teaching. There is a great improvement in listening skills after being taught by using Spotify media.
